1) Please be sure to check if a similar thread topic exists. This can be done by using the “search” button at the top of each forum.
2) There’s a special forum for questions. However, we request that you read FAQs and/or rules before immediately posting a question. It helps keep the workload down for the staff.
3) Spoilers – any written comment, video, or image from a book must be inside spoiler tags until at least 1 month after the book is released – the exception being cover art and summaries found on the inside the book flaps. This includes quotes in signatures.[/i]
4) Remember that this forum is for all ages. Any vulgar, explicitly sexual, or otherwise inappropriate comments/images are prohibited. Please also keep in mind that other members are people too. The staff will use their judgment and reserve the right to remove any negative/hurtful, etc. comments.
5) Keep your posts in the right forum. Keep book discussions in the book forums; keep off-topic threads in The Chatroom forum, etc. If you’re unsure where something should go, contact a staff member. Also, keep comments as close to the thread topic as possible. (We do understand that rabbit trails happen...)
6) Don't spam. Anything we consider to be spam will be deleted on sight, no questions asked. If you're worried about what you're posting, contact a staff member.
7) Any username change request must be done via PM to a staff member. Please do not post this type of request in the Help! forum.
8) Keep your speech as human as possible. We understand the ease of using such phrases as “omg” or “lol” but u dnt need 2 talk lik dis.
9) Be considerate when posting images. There are easy ways to keep larger images smaller. You can edit them in a photo editing program. You can also link them as a thumbnail. If you're needing help with this, please contact a staff member. Also, be sensible with your banner/signature sizes. We recommend 500 x 150. Larger images are hard to load. This, as I said, is a recommendation. If it gets out of control, it will become a rule.
10) We reserve the right to delete any threads/posts without warning or explanation.
11) Respect the staff. We're here to help make this experience better, not ruin your life.
12) Colored text is for the staff only. This allows us to use a "mod/admin voice" without confusing other members.
If you have any questions or if any of this is unclear, please contact me via PM.
